Tomoko Abe Solo Exhibition: Debris Trails

A solo exhibition of new works by Tomoko Abe entitled “Debris Trails”, is on view at The College of New Rochelle’s Mooney Center Gallery.
The installations in this exhibition are composed of many, sometimes in hundreds, ceramic pieces of varying sizes and shapes, collectively arranged in configurations that may remind the viewer of stardust shards in the sky, bubbles in flowing water, or abandoned rubbles. Unnoticeable elements of nature, such as wind and soil, as well as other artifacts are used as motifs, aiming to breath in spiritual connections between them.
August 26 – September 20, 2010
Reception: Sunday, September 12, 2010 from 3-5 p.m.
